The Chelmsford Historical Commission has published History of Chelmsford 1910-1970, originally commissioned by the Board of Selectmen in 1965, but never finished.
The completed book has an epilogue to bring the reader up to 2010.
Pick it up at the Town Manager's office or the Chelmsford Copy and Secretarial Center at 13 Alpine Lane, at $30 per copy. For those who live outside the area, the book is also available on
Amazon.
The Chelmsford Historical Commission was established
under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40 Section 8D
and is comprised of three to seven members.
all are volunteers who are appointed by the Town Manager, and approved by the Board of Selectmen for a 3-year term.
The mission
of the Chelmsford Historical Commission is to preserve, protect and develop public
awareness of Chelmsford's historical assets.
